strike two [video/action]

[When the feed turns on Yuuri’s sitting under a tree, a Horsea next to him and a Teddiursa sitting in his lap.] So, I caught a few gym battles the other day and it looks like the leader only uses Flying type pokémon. Since I’m planning on taking them on sometime, what type does well against Flying?

[He pauses for a moment and his Teddiursa hops out of his lap and begins looking through the bag at his side.] Also, I was wondering… Is there anywhere nearby that sells clothes? I haven’t really looked at any of the stores in Violet City yet, but I’d still like to buy a change of clothes sometime. The ones I got don’t really suit me. [And at that moment, the Teddiursa pulls out that extra outfit and takes off. It takes a second for Yuuri to notice but when he does, all of the color drains from his face.]

Did you time that or something?! Get back here! [He gets up from his place under the tree and makes a mad dash for the pokémon, turning off the feed in the process.]

Pleasure to meet you too, Yuuri! I've already been here for a month. We've been trying for the gym this entire time, too. Falkner's tough, that's for sure.

A month? He did look pretty tough.

[He shifts his weight to one foot, and moves his arms so he can better hold the pokémon in his arms. She's starting to feel heavy.]

Yeah, we're all waiting for each other to get the badge. His Pokémon are tough compared to the stuff around here, which is probably why we're having such a though time. Hard to go against someone so strong, when everything around you is not even half as tough. ...

The last time I tried was pretty close, though! I think I just need to train my little guy a little more before he can take down the birds. Electric types take them down quick! I was surprised.

Really? That is pretty surprising. I hope I'm as lucky as you when I try fighting him.

I think I'm going to train a lot before I do, though.

We've all had our close ones; I think we're almost there. It'll probably just be a little longer, before we can finally get out of this place. I don't think I'd ever be able to get used to its music.

If you'd like, we could have a battle right now! I haven't trained at all today, so I could use a good one.
